NSCRF will make investments by way of unsecured loans (with an option to share in future profits) in the range £10,000 up to £50,000 in owner managed companies in North Staffordshire.

We aim to support businesses with the potential for growth, including opportunities where businesses can be revitalised by a new management team.

A high proportion of the businesses will either be start-ups of less than three years old.  Typically they will be knowledge-based and innovative.

In deciding whether or not to invest NSRCF will pay close attention to:

• The characteristics of the market in which the business is targeted, and the differentiating factors of the company's products or services;
• The experience and ambition of the management team
